If you’re tea is as fancy as the one I am about to reveal then you’d always want to be sipping a hot or rather cold cup of tea depending on wherever you are. And if you’re tea is accompanied by some savory bites or a hearty meal that would feel like cherries on a sumputous plate. ( Sakura flavored macaroons up for grabs. As shown in the picture).
The tea we’re talking about is fresh, healthy but far more luxurious if you ask any tea drinkers in the know. Having been to several TWG Tea Boutiques in the past, I’ve learnt that they offer some of the fanciest tea selection in the world, which exceeds the number of variations, your palette can taste. But it’s worth a try.
I attended the launch of TWG Tea’s Always Sakura Haute Couture Tea & Sakura Set Menu. The Haute Couture Sakura tea launch comes in at a perfect time when spring arrives in the city. I was lucky enough to taste the Sakura Set Menu, which obviously was delicious. The menu included a lobster and white asparagus soup, a gorgeous main course that comprised of duck breast cod, Sakura Tea infused kanpachi and a breath taking chocolate cherry mousse cake. While my fellow reviewers and I relished our meals we were served complimentary hot & iced teas through the entire dining affair. And the Sakura Set Menu will be available for a limited period only. But of course you can go enjoy a good meal anyday.
It’s always Tea Time according to Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. I particularly take reference to this movie, novel because of its subtle resemblance with the TWG Tea Salon in Vancouver. And to add that tea drinking is a social hobby of mine, which I boastfully think everyone should adopt.
That said this is TWG Tea’s first ever tea Salon & Boutique in North America and definitely worth a visit.
Waiching!
