You know you’re growing old when it’s your birthday. And this year again I travelled not to an unknown land like I always do, but to an unknown property in Dubai, which turned out to be a paradise in itself.

A little tale to tell… (Hotel Overview)
Not too many days old, but I invite you to join me in exploring a fantastic resort in Dubai where I celebrated my birthday this year.
Located along the golden shoreline of Dubai, JA Palm Tree Court is a 5 star Luxe family resort set within the award-winning JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort. Apart from the Multi-award wining resort, which it is, the property also supports sustainable practices and is a receiver of the Green Globe Certification.
The resort is far more luxe than your senses can imagine. I’d say it’s a combination of a mind, body and soul synergizing to create a little paradise for you. The architectural design and landscaping are picturesque at every corner of the resort. I was first up impressed by the hospitality at the reception, followed by the chauffeur-driven service to our Junior Jasmine Suite and a private butler. What more could you ask for? Well JA Palm Tree Court had so much more in store for us.
JA Palm Tree Court boasts 800 meters of private coastline, 3 temperature controlled pools, Restaurants & Bars, Golf Course, Spa, Signature Lounge, a marina of its own, a mini water park, a sanctuary and home to over 250 peacocks in the know.

My Room (Junior Jasmine Suite)
Luxury has another name at JA Palm Tree Court. Apart from the private butler who drives you on the golf cart to your lavish room that in this case is the Junior Jasmine Suite for me, there’s so much more that I could see.
The palm-line beach on one side and the gorgeous flora & fauna of the resort on the other paved the way to our abode. Mini streams, fountains, birds, peacocks and wooden bridges were all part of the natural décor at the resort.
As I walked into the room I was speechless by the heart warming Birthday surprise prepared by JA Resorts & Hotel. The entire dining table in the living area of my suite was filled with chocolates, savories, fruit baskets, bubbles and some delicious chocolate cake. I couldn’t thank them enough.
Steps away from the dining table was the living area that opened up to the balcony, the bedroom was massive and screamed royalty in every possible way. The bedroom also opened up to a private terrace that could be used for an intimate dinner while you enjoy views of the beautiful gardens. Not to be missed is the two marbled bathrooms that were massive and I could literally fall asleep in there. And I most certainly would, if I could considering they were well equipped with the necessities and an illuminating Jacuzzi.
Upon chatting with our private butler I was informed that most of the 208 suites at the JA Palm Tree Court consists of such junior suites, 1 Bedroom suites and the Royal Jasmine Suites and The Residence.
Signature Lounge
Since I was offered the Royal Jasmine Junior Suites, we gladly had the privileged to access the Signature Lounge & Pool in the private area of the resort.
I’d recommend this to any of my fellow business or leisure travellers who’d like to enjoy some private time with friends and family.
A Royal Jasmine Suite access helps you not only to enjoy the salt water pool which is a rare experience amongst other hotels in the know, but it also offers you complimentary all day dining and happy hour bubbles during sunset.
Whether you’d like to socialize with other travellers or catch up on some emails at the workspace area at the Signature Lounge, there are plenty of reasons to get this option while choosing your stay. And apart from all the above you get a butler who’d show you around whenever you need to, considering how massive the property is.
Restaurants at the Hotel:
JA Palm Tree Court has several restaurants, lounges & bars to choose from. But the ones I’m sharing with you are my favorites.
- Captain’s Restaurant & Bar:
As the name suggests Captain’s Restaurant & Bar is very apt considering it’s a Beachfront restaurant serving some friendly food and drinks while you soak up in the sun.
My family and I sampled their Fish & Chips, Steak Sirloin and Salmon during lunch. We complimented our meals with some fresh mojito mock tails. And were happily joined by several peacocks who were doing their afternoon rounds in the garden.
- White Orchid Restaurant
The White Orchid is a signature Asian fusion restaurant at the JA Palm Tree Court and offers a perfect view of the sea from its terrace or indoor seating area. The White Orchid Lounge surprises you with a live bar and a melodious singer welcoming you into the restaurant.
I had dinner on my birthday at the restaurant and I’ll have to admit, it was a starry night. The restaurant had beautifully decorated the dining table with stars and other pretty features perfect to welcome a hungry diner.
My mother and I enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai and Szechuan Beef Steak.
They were really delicious most particularly the Tom Yum Soup and the Beef Steak.
I’d also recommend you to try the appetizer buffet, which is optional, but since we wanted to go light on a dinner we opted for the soup.
- La Fontana Restaurant:
The resort has several other restaurants as mentioned above, but the La Fontana Restaurant seemed busy all day long, every time we walked passed it.
The restaurant offers buffet breakfast, lunch and themed dinners. I choose to have breakfast at the La Fontana Restaurant.
The buffet was fresh and unending. From the healthy organic sections to the buzzing cold cut corner there was something for everyone.
I enjoyed poach eggs, juices, bacon and the lovely view of the infinity pool.
Sports & Leisure Options at the Palm Tree Court:
There’s plenty of Sports & Leisure Options at the Palm Tree Court to choose from. Whether you’re the adrenaline junkie, explorer or sit back and relax kind of traveller, there’s something for every one of you.
- Swimming:
If you love swimming one has the chance to swim across the massive private beach or relax by the three gorgeous pools at the resort. All pools have access to restaurants and bars around.
- Kayaking:
Well you do not have to be an expert; rather a beginner like me should work too. I can tell you first hand that the resort has great-equipped staff when it comes to any sports activity. The Kayak experts helped to row back and forth while visiting the JA Wibit Water Park.
- JA Wibit Water Park
JA Palm Tree Court has its very own floating aquapark. The park is situated on the sea and shore level you’d either have to kayak like me or swim across. The Wibit features infinity loops, obstacle courses, slides, jumps and climbing routes for people of every age.
I’d seen grand parents play with their little grand children, girlfriends chilling with each other. It’s a really fun experience and has a considerable amount of fitness exertion involved.
- SPA & Fitness
The resort also has its very own SPA & Gym. Guests at the JA Palm Tree Court have the option to check-in and book their spa appointments ahead of time to avoid waiting.
- Golf Course
The JA Palm Tree Court & Jebel Ali Golf Resort shares the classic Golf Course. The Golf Course is beautifully designed with unique landscape and exotic trees. It covers a massive area of the JA Resorts & Hotel.
The Golf Course has witnessed several great Championships and players from around the world. Guests at the resort also have the option to attend classes at the Golf Academy or sit in any of the Gazebo’s and enjoy the game.
- Stables & Sanctuary
Horse riding is one of the many sports in the UAE. And the ‘Stables’ at JA Palm Tree Court has become a popular attraction for guests at the resort.
Situated at the entrance of the hotel, the Stables offers horse riding classes for beginners and experts as well as tours for guests.
Apart from the stables, the resort also has a mini zoo, which boasts several animals that are taken care of diligently by the well-trained staff. For those visiting the resort with kids need not worry, as your butler’s will ensure to keep a check on your little one. And of course they can have their very own pony ride them around the resort.
Waiching’s Wall Recommends:
The family friendly resort is a little drive up from the Ibn Batutta Mall. But there’s no way no looking back once you’ve taken the exit to the Jebel Ali Palm route. In Dubai we’re always looking for the most serene and iconic staycations. And JA Palm Tree Court is definitely top on my list. And I’m certain to be back there soon.
Before ending my piece I’d like to share a little thought with you all. “I have an insane calling to be where I’m not.” And that’s what makes me a little bit of a vagabond always in search on a new land.
