It couldn’t get better than the Bloomingdale’s fashion I witnessed last weekend in Dubai. The massive fashion celebration was held at Dubai Design District (D3), which is one of the newest places in the Dubai fashion scene.

Geometric mirrors surrounded the venue; cascading illumination and Dubai’s elite were gathered to witness the launch of the Bloomingdales Dubai’s Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection. And it was one of the most coveted shows I had seen. Over 500 guests attended this fashionable night.

The theme of the fashion show was ‘Live Out Loud’ where in you celebrate who you are and want to stand out in what you wear. A little out of the ordinary but you want the world to know you. Similarly, the fashion showdown was super exciting and interesting. The collections were divided by themes wherein you’d have collections from diverse designers represented thematically. I’d like to share them with you below:

On the move in monochrome: Yes most of you know that I love monochrome stripes, checks etc. But I really loved the monochrome vertical stripes for women in this theme. Also the men’s monochrome suits were really classy. Favourite designers were Givenchy and Alexander Wang.

Decade Darling: Living out loud was the theme and this collection reworked on the 60’s & 70’s retro fashion for women, which was followed by sport luxe pieces for men. And for many unknown reasons I loved the Sports Luxe style. All stars to Kenzo & 3.1 Philip Lim’s standout pieces.

Dark Romantic: When you’ve seen all fashion catwalks daunting florals this year you’d know they’ll make a comeback this Autumn/ Winter too. And I was pleased to see some layering of textures, embellishments that added zeal to this theme. My favourites were Lanvin any day, Alexander McQueen, Alice + Olivia and Stella McCartney.

Holiday season can never be complete without a festive fashion collection. And I was totally smitten by Zuhair Murad’s eveningwear. Every look was perfectly complemented by jewellery from Buccellati, Wendy Yue, Marli to name a few. And the make-up was provided by Giorgio Armani’s Beauty line.

I had loads of fun meeting fellow Dubai Fashion Bloggers, press and guests at the event. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the fashion celebration that evening.
