On a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi, I had the opportunity to meet ‘The Courtyard by Marriott’, at World Trade Center. She stood tall and upright but definitely stood out from her counterparts on the same street. I’m guessing she’s the new kid on the block. Prove me right, upon chatting with the hotel staff I was informed the hotel was introduced earlier this year with a fresh identity and one of a kind experience for business & leisure travelers.
Courtyard by Marriott is centrally positioned adjacent to World Trade Center Mall, and between the World Trade Center Towers. The hotel is at the heart of the city and is just five minutes away from Abu Dhabi’s beach making it a great option for those travelling to stay over in Abu Dhabi for a day or two.
I checked into the hotel on a busy Friday afternoon along with a friend. We were welcomed by the attendant and directed straight to our rooms.

My Room: Double Room Sharing
The hotel has 195 spaciously designed rooms with contemporary fixtures and all your connectivity essentials. You also have the option to choose from suites if you feel like adding the luxurious quotient to your stay. However we were happy with our double room sharing which seemed rather spacious for two people.
The room offered views to the hotel’s garden area and sky scraper view of the World Trade Center Towers.
Up and Below:
On the 12th floor is ‘Up and Below’ the hotel’s brand new chic and stylish rooftop bar and lounge. I have to admit this place is super cool whether day or night. It’s a great spot for people in the capital to socialize, nibble some great food while enjoying the stunning views of the city.
My co-reviewer and I sampled their Crispy Crunchy Platter along with some house beverages in the afternoon. The samplers were fresh and were fairly portioned for people to share. The venue plays lounge music until the DJ hits the floor. I thought this place is cool and so I had to invite my friends in Abu Dhabi to check out this place in the evening.
Fifth Street Café:
Fifth Street Cafe is the hotel’s newest neighbourhood hang out area. It offers some amazing home-cooked food and a perfect place to catch up with friends for coffee or drinks.
They’ve recently introduced ‘Masterclass’ where guests can sign up to learn how to prepare cocktails, coffees etc from the restaurants chef.

Bistro:
Bistro is one of the three dining options that guests at Courtyard By Marriott, World Trade Center can choose from. The restaurant offers all-day-dining service which makes it a great fit for travelers checking in to the hotel from around the globe. The restaurant boasts multitude of cooking stations, laid-back dining and helpful staff.
My friend and I had breakfast at Bistro. And we thought they had some brilliant international cuisine options, which I feel is a perfect. Not everyone wants to fry the same fish every day.
Recreational Options: Pool, Gym & Jacuzzi
Cabanas, Sun beds, and Jacuzzi yes they have it all. The Courtyard By Marriott offers ample opportunities for those visiting the hotel. The rooftop area houses an amazing sun deck area, cute pool and tons of dining options. As most of you already know I’m a big sun lover, so this rooftop area was heaven to me. I particularly loved my swing sun beds (please check my Instagram) for more images. The swings were so relaxing while I kept soaking up in the sun. And when I got a little dehydrated I sipped in some bubbly while relaxing in the Jacuzzi.
Waiching’s Wall Recommends:
The Courtyard By Marriott, World Trade Center has all of the above recreational options for the no fuss traveler. Well, lets it put it this way. The hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. Whether it was the food, the prompt service and recreational options, they were on point.
The hotel is a contemporary and pilot concept of the Courtyard Group of Hotels. And I highly recommend you and your friends to stay over for a comfortable stay, cordial staff and brilliant location.
